When is the best time to see the balloons?
  • If you want to see balloons in flight, come early and/or stay late.
  • Morning Flights – plan to be at the park at 6:00am.  Depending on wind/weather, pilots go out and fly back to the park, or they will launch from the park.  Either way, it’s best to be at the park right at sunrise.
  • Afternoon Flights – Afternoon mass ascension and tethered rides begin after 6:00p.m.
    • *Flight/tether times are approximate and depend upon wind and weather.
What else is there to do?
  • There’s plenty to do and see. Join us for all day fun. Check out our Schedule of Events page.
  • There are dozens of vendors and a carnival, lots of food options, an arts & crafts village,  live music on the Main Stage and more.

Is there an admission charge?

Yes. ADVANCE TICKET PURCHASE REQUIRED.

A 3 day-weekend pass, unlimited access to the Festival for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is available for purchase online only, $20. Buy online today or at the gate. Volunteers will check for daily bracelet. BUY TICKETS HERE

Are dogs allowed on the festival grounds?

No. no pets allowed during the event. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Is the festival handicap accessible?

We provide handicap parking for our event. A large portion of the event is on concrete. Mobility can be a challenge depending on the abilities to maneuver safely.

DO bring these

  • Good shoes! Plan for a day of walking.  Think of it just like a trip to the State Fair or your favorite college football game. Wear good walking shoes.
  • Wear sunscreen. And, bring more to re-apply. There is limited shade at the park. Wear a hat.
  • Bring a folding chair(s) and/or a picnic blanket but keep your items small and light.
  • Need a stroller? We strongly suggest one of the small, inexpensive “umbrella” style strollers.

Here are some basic rules for how to prepare for Havasu Balloon Festival so everyone can have a great time. Take a moment to check them out and have a great time.
Rules During the Festival:

  • No Smoking or Vaping on Park Grounds.
  • No Coolers.
  • Alcohol Consumption is only allowed in designated areas. You must be 21 or older (please have proper ID). Outside alcohol is prohibited.
  • No Drones. Only FAA and festival registered operators are permitted.
  • No Pets (except service animals)
  • No Tents or Canopies.
  • No Weapons.
  • If you bike to the park, you may NOT ride your bike on park grounds. Use a bike rack (a lock is recommended).
